Tim Holtz - Creative Chemistry 101 class - Day 10  - Rock Candy

I decided to take Tim's 2 week class - Chemistry 101. These samples are from Day 10.

Ever class must end eventually... but I so don't want this one to end. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Today was all about the mediums and adhesives and then for a final tag using Distress Stickles "Rock Candy".

Rock Candy:

I decided to do the technique on both a white tag and a manila tag. I was surprised I like the manila tag better. It had a warmer look to it, even though I used the exact same colors for both in the same sequence and placement.

The Create Without Limits (Quietfire Design) is the manila tag. Old Paper Distress Stain applied to tag, misted, dried, then tapped onto remainder of stain on craft mat, dried.

Background stamp (Flourishes "Damask" bkgr'd) was inked with Distress Faded Jeans & then randomly tapped with the Walnut Stain. Both pads had a fresh coat of re-inker. Dried. A nice squirt of Rock Candy stickles on mat and then smeared onto tag, a relatively thin coat. Dried.

I stamped the quotes (Quietfire Design) with Archival black and on the manila tag clear embossed the quote. Added blue Liquid Pearls dots on some of the flourish ends. Gathered and adhered the ribbons.
