ID: MC June/12 - Crayon Art - Melt Down - How Old card
size: 5"w x 7"h

Created: June 30, 2012

I had a wonderful play day with a friend melting crayons... She had seen a card I made a few months ago using melted crayons and wanted to try it, so we were experimenting with various techniques. I then made cards with my creations, this being one of them. This one mimics my previous card which you can see here.

I'm using a fabulous quote stamp from Quietfire Design

I removed some of the paper from a bunch of Crayola waxed crayons, put a piece of masking tape over the assembled line of crayons and attached it to the top of my Arches Text Wove paper. Note: on my previous card I mentioned that my Stamping Up heat gun sputtered the melting crayons and I switched over to my Ranges heat gun. This time I let my friend use the good gun and I went with the "sputter"... Trimmed the piece down and layered onto an apple green cardstock, attached the green, red & yellow nailheads, then adhered the background onto my white card.

Stamped my quote with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Die cut the buttons (Memory Box) from white cardstock and layered a few together to get a nice thickness. Pressed them into my Distress stamp pads (Mustard Seed & Summer Collection - Picked Raspberry), clear embossing several times for a nice shine. Adhered my feathers and then my buttons.
