Gold Leaf & more Golden's Open Acrylics

Sample 29:

Brayer Gelli plate with various acrylic paints. Lift areas of paint with punched or die cut elements or with Qtips or other  tools. There need to be a bunch of sections with no paint. Allow to completely dry (very important).

Either use strips of clear packing tape, or cold laminating film and press on to Gelli plate, burnish, and start lifting tape or film. If something isn't sticking, press down again and continue lifting.

Turn tape/film over so sticky side is facing up. Cover with gold leaf, press down and then gently burnish to remove excess leaf (save it and put it back in the package for another use). I use an undyed piece of silk wrapped around my pointer finger and work in small circular movements.

Note: this sample image has a couple ornaments already cut out. BIG GRIN.

because of the angle the pic was taken, the snowflakes look coppery, but are actually gold.
