Gelli Printing with Chroma Colors

All these samples are done on Columbia Mills LBS end paper

Sample 42:

I remembered I had Chroma colors and wondered how they'd look as a pulled print. They are basically opaque matte finish acrylics. Love the way they turned out.

I wanted to have a more striped like look so put one color drops in a line with the next color next to it leaving space between the lines. Cadmium Yellow Light Hue, Rose, & Sea Green on my gelli plate. I picked these colors because I liked them and they were nice and bright and made me smile. I would say normally they would not go together. If blended together they'll make "mud"... Brayered the colors.

Lay a "numbers" stencil down, Removed the stencil and pulled a print.

Sample 43:

Titanium white brayered on to dried paint on gelli plate - print pulled.

Sample 44:

Put a wet stencil on my gelli plate, brayered with dirty roller & pulled a print.  Accidently put the stencil in the wrong way... so the numbers are backwards.

Sample 45:

Repeated the process from sample 44, with the stencil the right way, but this is now a more diluted image. But I still like it.

Sample 46:

I'm still using the dirty gelli plate, stencil down, drops of paint, brayered and a print pulled.

Sample 47

Stencil removed and a ghost print pulled.

Sample 48

And a final print brayering Titanium White on the dried paint on gelli plate. Print pulled.
