I came across someone mentioning this type of binding... so looked it up and found this uTube instructional video. Well done. See it HERE |
ID: Slip Knot Booklet - Be Happy
Created: July 21, 2022 It's extremely versatile if you have single page binding needs. Will also work with Signatures but you wont see as much of the stitching detail. It does need heavy cardstock or cardboard pages rather than text weight paper. The binding will probably rip the binding holes... Created this booklet to test some string I may use in a class coming soon. It's basically a thick type of craft/butcher type string with about 50ply...(just kidding but a lot...) I used a Spellbinder's die (Resplendent Rectangles) to cut the inner portion of the frames and then cut the straight edges of the outside. Dry embossed with Signature Collection Sara Davies Black & Gold Regal Swirls 5 x 7"Embossing Folder S-BG-EF-REG. Love this folder... Sponged Distress "Peeled Paint" and then hit the high points direct to paper with "Forest Moss". Adhered to a white cardstock page. Punched 3/16" holes with a Crop-A-Dial (all in one shot...) This booklet has 5 framed pages.

Since the thread is so thick, I unraveled it to create the fuzzy fringe. I also made hand made beads from some green paper and then coated it with Glossy Accents. The words use an alphabet lower case die Spellbinder's set S5-199 colored with the same ink pads. |
I matched the linear designs of the papers for a cohesive look. |
