I recently saw an image from Benoit Furet on Instagram and wanted to do something similar... He does gorgeous filigree calligraphic work. What I saw was a graphic word and roses surrounding it. His roses were more stylized, but mine are easier to create.

 

 

    
On Staples white 110# cardstock using a B-1/2 nib and Sumi ink, wrote out the word "LOVE U", Doodled with a gold gel pen. Then drew swirls with a red Zig Writer around my words leaving a white moat around the letters and drew in the thickness around the circles to mimic the rose petals.
