Some of the new stamps coming out for this Christmas from Quietfire Design , are "cuddlers" individual word stamps meant to "cuddle" up to another word stamp. Cute. Got me thinking. I often use pieces of one stamp and pieces of another, but I don't think I've actually used them as a cuddler... So this card uses the "Snowflake" word from a quote stamp "Snowflakes are the Fairydust..." - love it.

And again I kept it simple.

Stamped my snowflake word with Perfect Medium and clear embossed. Sponged with Distress blues, misted with water and dried. Stamped my wonder word with black. Ironed off the embossing from the snowflake word.

Embossed the card front with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, adhered my blue layer. Adhered a narrow dark blue ribbon. Die cut the snowflake border from some decorative paper in my stash.

The quilled snowflake uses quill papers cut from a medium blue pearlescent wrapping paper cut with my pasta machine on the Linguini setting. I edged the strips with a Gold Krylon leafing pen using a little gadget I made to hold my quill strips perpendicular....

GADGET: two pieces of thin MDF - but chipboard can be used - glued to a thicker piece of wood. The two thin pieces are butted up to each other, leaving just enough space for the thickness for paper to slip through. Then holding your gold pen at one end and touching the edge of your strip, pull the strip through the gadget.

Adhered the quilled snowflake, adding a medium sized blue rhinestone.
