I saw some quilling on line that intrigued me, so had to try it. Like this technique.

The flowers are created from three
pieces of quilling paper (2, 2.5 & 3" pieces) adhere the three
pieces together on one end, then adhere the other ends together.
Find your mid point on the smallest piece, put a dab of glue there
and adhere the ends of one side to the center line, and then the
other end, meeting at the center. Position the loops to fall equally
on either side of the center point, pinch together, and fold in
half, with the glued edges on the inside. Wrap the folded loops with
another piece of quilling paper and adhere at the fold line. Pinch
to form your shape. The main card is a cream tone. I used Spellbinders Oval dies to cut the oval in the kraft cardstock and in the white cardstock, Stamped my lace design (Stampin Up Hello Doily), then adhered the white & kraft together and to my card front. Stamped the quote with Adirondack Hazelnut and touched it with Wild Plum. Die cut the white sprig (Cheery Lynn "Lace Rose & Flourish") cutting off part of the die cut and adhered to card. Adhered my flower petals and buds. Quilled some dark green leaves. Adhered a large half pearl in the center and some rhinestones on the flourishes. |
