MC March/12 - Cup Die - Tea Anyone card
Created: March 23, 2012 I got the Spellbinders cup die set about a week ago, and as soon as I had them in my hands I visualized a teapot and sugar container... I die cut all my pieces the next day, and there they sat on my desk. Didn't have a chance to color or play with them further till today... I'm not using any Quietfire Design stamps this time - sigh!!

As I mentioned I die cut the cups, then
put them back in the die to cut off portions for the lids. Cut extra
handles and just hand cut a small spout. Used the dies when sponging
my Distress colors (Broken China, Peeled Paint & Wild Honey). I then
stamped the little floral pieces (Flourishes "Summer Blossoms" set
#36) using my custom stamp pad from a butterfly coloring. Worked
really well BIG GRIN. I also used a cut off piece from a die cut I had needed a couple days ago (Cheery Lynn "Lace Rose") adding some Picket Fence Distress Stickles to the flourish areas. Used a blue cardstock for my main card base, and embossing it with a Cuttlebug Domino folder, hitting the high points with Perfect Medium and embossing with white embossing powder. |
Adhered a piece of white lace on the bottom, adhered my teapot, sugar container and cup and placed my steam strategically. Stamped the word TEA using Hero Arts Happy Letters alphabet set, and wrote in the word "anyone" with my micron pen. |
