MC March/12 - Country Scene - Wings card
Created: March 3, 2012 I recently got the butterfly die cut (Cheery Lynn Designs) and I had a couple sitting on my desk cut but not colored... So thought I'd use one of them. I'm using one of the latest Butterfly quote stamps from Quietfire Design

I started with a white card and stamped
the fence (Artful Stamper) using Versafine Vintage Sepia. Stamped it
again on a scrap piece of paper and cut around it to make a mask.
Lay it over my stamped image and stamped the Hollyhocks (Flourishes
"Hollyhocks" SS163 set) using Distress Dusty Concord and Broken
China. Colored it in with Watercolors. Made a corner mask and sponged Broken China around the edges of the card - the sky. The butterfly I embossed with black embossing powder, twice. Sponged Mustard Seed, Spiced Marigold and Barn Yard on the solid body part, then adhered the body of the flourish butterfly to the body, and adhered the body to the card. |
