I was extremely productive in my quilling session yesterday - started 3 cards, this being one of them... I love this birdcage by Memory Box, it's not too big and not too small for my kind of cards... I sound like Golldilocks.  BIG GRIN.

I'm using an oldie but goodie quote stamp from Quietfire Design and that saying is just so true.

I had cut a bunch of white pearlized quill strips and then colored the back of them with a light blue Tombow marker. I used my Quilled Creations fringing die for the centers. Makes life soooo easy...

Birdcage (Memory Box "Carousal") was die cut on 110# white cardstock, direct to paper with Versafine Toffee and embossed with a combination of Judi Kins Rustique Tin can & Rustique Antique Iron.

I embossed (Sizzix set #656503 "Birds, Flowers & Branches) the white cardstock using my hard rubber mallet and selectively embossing parts of it. I continued the embossed lines with my Scor-It tool. Sponged Distress Broken China and Crushed Olive very lightly over the high points.

Adhered my background to my main mid toned blue - it matches the inside of the coils perfectly. Die cut my bird (Marianne Designs LR0138), sponged with Distress greens and colored the bird with Distress markers, adhered inside my birdcage and then onto my card. Then adhered my leafy and floral elements. On the right was the largest leaf from Cheery Lynn Tropical Foliage cut up. On the left was a Sizzlets Leafy Branch.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx and added some white half pearl flourishes.
