I had a wonderful play day with a friend melting crayons... She had seen a card I made a few months ago using melted crayons and wanted to try it, so we were experimenting with various techniques. I then made cards with my creations, this being one of them.

I'm using part of a quote stamp from Quietfire Design on the front and the rest of it on the inside.

This was another one using the iron and the craft mat on white cardstock. It had a real look of desert kind of rocky mountains, so my newest stamps from Beeswax came in real handy...

Stamped the cliff rocky structure on the right with Versafine Black Onyx. Touched it with a bit of Pan pastels to increase the color of the yellow and reddish tones. Added a bit of yellow to the foreground. Stamped a group of rocks in the foreground, touching them with some pastels too. Trimmed it down at that point. Layered onto my brown cardstock and added a piece of textured goldenrod cardstock at the bottom. Adhered to my main cream toned card.

Stamped the rock a couple times from some scrap cardstock and colored with the pastels, cut out, adhered the one on the left directly to the background and pop dotted the one on the right. Drew in a couple birds in the sky with a black pen.

Stamped my quote with Versafine Black Onyx.
