ID: MC July/12 - Oriental Roses card
size: 4.25"w x 5.5"h

Created: July 7, 2012
Modified:

Our quilling group is getting together again this Wednesday and we're going to be playing with rose dies... I don't really like using them because the roses stand just too high and are usually quite stiff looking and it costs a lot more to mail one, but I decided to try it once again.

I'm using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design

Side folded my white card and sponged Distress Worn Lipstick around the edges.

Embossed a piece of white cardstock (Cuttlebug "Mandarin Screen"), trimmed it down and adhered it to my card front.

Stamped my quote using Versafine Black Onyx, die cut with a Nellie's Choice Rectangles #3 set, sponged some of the red around the edges and adhered to card.

Stamped the oriental lady (Inkadinkado 91074-y) on white cardstock using the Black, then cut around the lady and adhered to card

Cut some small squares from a red white blossom Chiyogami paper and colored the back with a red colored pencil. Die cut using the Marianne Design LR0162 set. Die cut the leaves from white thick textured  mulberry paper and sponged a bit of the red for the veins.
