MC July/12 - Cheer Up - Teapot card
Created: July 29, 2012 I think the bright lettering and fuchsias can really cheer a friend up when they're down... At my last quilling session a friend gave each of us a Cottage Cutz "Tall Teapot" die cut and challenges us to use it... I'm using a fabulous quote stamp from Quietfire Design |
This card is a top folded card. I stamped my quote with Versafine Black Onyx and then embossed around it with a Cuttlebug "Circle & Dots" embossing folder using my machine for part of the embossing and then my rubber mallet for the smaller areas. Die cut the letters (Sizzix Tim's "Word Play" alphabet die) from a piece of decorated cardstock and adhered to card. The teapot was plain white which I sponged Distress blues and some brown shading, then applied a layer of Distress Crackle "Rock Candy", when dry sponged Gathered Twigs into the cracks and wiped the excess off with a damp paper towel. The fuchsias I made at the quilling session and just added some punched out leaves. |
