One of the challenges this week is a center step card. This time I decided to make the center step pop out to the inside... It created a shadow window effect which can have a lot of potential - so will explore that again. I also created an "on the edge" butterfly border with my electronic cutter.

And I'm using one of the newest butterfly stamp quotes from Quietfire Design..

I cut and scored my cream toned cardstock to have 1.5" wide outside edge pieces and a 4" window. tamped my quote with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Adhered the brownish metallic paper (from my Paper Roots stash) to the front profile.

Die cut the Spellbinders frame "Classic Frame" from cream cardstock, sponged Distress Antique Linen through the openings and embossed with Queen's Gold, then sponged the frame with Crushed Olive and the very edges with Vintage Photo. Adhered it to the edges of the window opening.

Stamped the various butterflies (Flourishes sets #34 & 95) and created silhouette images, cut with my electronic cutter. Then overlapped them in my software program to create the border and cut from cream cardstock. Stamped the butterflies with the black and clear embossed, then painted with watercolors. Sponged the thin border they're sitting on with the Vintage Photo. Adhered to card front with 3D adhesive foam squares.

Stamped the "Just because" (Quietfire) with the black, clear embossed, cut the shape and sponged some of the brown on the edges, adhered to border edge. Added 3 square rhinestones.
