Continuing on with my self imposed challenge of only using my scraps... The card base was down a while back and tossed into my "maybe to use later" pile, mainly because I didn't get inspired with the background... I love the stamp, but it was stamped in browns on a cream base - blah!!!

I'm using one of the 10 tiny sentiments from Quietfire Design

I sponged all different colors of Distress stamp pads on the card base, giving it a pinky tone to it. The stamp is from Harmonie and is a humungous 5.5" x 8.5" clear background stamp. Love it.

Created the button border and cut with my electronic cutter, then using and clear embossing pen, embossed with various pink embossing powders. Some I painted with pink Tombows and clear embossed. The thread weaving through the buttons was done with white Puff Paint & Hot Pink Liquid Appliqué and then heat set to puff up. It reminds me of Fun Fibres yarn.

I adhered my 1" wide brown with pink polka dot ribbon, then the button border overlapping it, then the piece of beige lace trim.

Adhered the cupcake and cup to the oval and then adhered to card with 3D foam dots.

Stamped the cupcake (Sweet Pea "Plate #31" set) and the cup (gg designs "teapot/Cup" set) with Versafine Black Onyx and painted the cupcake with Tombows and the cup with colored pencils. The icing on the cupcake and froth in the cup are done with the white Puff Paint and heat set to puff. I almost feel like licking them...

I used a Spellbinders Oval die set to die cut an oval border and a matching oval base. Ran the border through my machine with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and hit the high points with Distress Spun Sugar pad. Stamped the words using a Just Rite alphabet stamp set and the "Happy Birthday" (Quietfire Design) with the black. Sponged some Spun Sugar on the edges. Adhered the border to the base and hit the edges with a Worn Lipstick sponge.
