ID: MC Aug/12 - Nautilus & Glitter Fish cards
size: various

Created: Aug 12, 2012
Modified:

What all these cards have in common are "fishy"... as well as painted with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens on warm highlights micro fine glitter by Glitter Ritz. Also all the sentiments/quotes are done on frosted shrink plastic and the stamped images were cut with my electronic cutter after making silhouette images of the stamps.

The sentiment quotes are from Quietfire Design

I created a silhouette image of the "Bold Seaweed" (Starving Artistamp), cut with my electronic cutter, sponged some Distress greens and then stamped the image with Versafine Black Onyx.

I stamped the image a couple times onto my side folded cream toned card, using distress greens and touching edges with Black Soot, misted with water and then stamped. I then covered the area, direct to paper with Distress greens, misted with water and dried. applied water to the seaweed stamp and then stamped and dried in the green area. (all the mottling)

Adhered the gold metallic lacy ribbon (bought from Reasonable Ribbons) using Best Glue by Scrap Perfect.

Adhered my Veil Tailed goldfish (Onyx Expressions) with 3D foam tape.

Stamped my quote onto Shrink plastic with Versafine Black Onyx, die cut with Spellbinders Labels Large and attached it to card with natural twine tied in knots.

Size: 5.5"w x 4.25"h

I embossed the card front using  Sizzix Dots embossing folder.

I created a nautilus outline and cut with my electronic cutter, colored it black and then stuck it to a piece of white cardstock covered with Sookwang tape. Applied the glitter and then painted with the alcohol pens. Cut it into a rectangle to fit the Spellbinder "Fleur de Lis" dies. Layered one on top of the other with a white gauze/satiny lacy ribbon between the layers.

Attached the shrunk plastic quote with white brads.
