I came across a metallic quilled piece on line and immediately thought of shimmer sheetz to do a similar effect... I must admit I struggled with it. It coiled nicely, but then the gluing - wouldn't stick. I tried Glossy Accents and Golden's Extra Heavy Gel medium, my go to adhesives for non paper items. They wouldn't stick. I mean eventually they would stick if you held it for literally 5 minutes. The spring tension in this mylar product is pretty strong. ROFL.

I'm using one of the latest quote stamps from Quietfire Design

So I eventually put a piece of Sookwang tape down on some cream cardstock. Stuck my quilled pieces onto it, making sure the end piece was tucked into a crevice or against another piece, and they stayed (for a while...). Frustration. But since the Sookwang held them for a good length of time, I figured I'd try the Glossy Accents again. Now it worked. I'm happy. I just dribbled some down near a joint and pushed it down with my needle tool.

When everything was dry, I sprinkled Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter (Chartreuse & Gold) all over, Bushed with a fluff brush, carefully.

I created my lavender easel card and adhered the glitter quilled piece. Adhered a piece of vintage floral lace trim against the glitter piece. Adhered the gold/white cord trim around the edges of the glitter area. Then adhered my butterfly (Memory Box "Kaleidoscope Butterfly"), die cut from some script/yellow decorated cardstock. Hand cut the solid image from regular cardstock covered with Sookwang tape. Sprinkled various sparkle & yellow glitters. Adhered the body and added 3 black rhinestones.

I created the cut letter base on my electronic cutter, cut out from cream toned cardstock, scored about a 1/4 below the letters, then masked off the part below the score line and applied Versafine Toffee, removed the mask and embossed with Honey embossing powder. Sponged the remaining area with Distress Scattered Straw and Dried Marigold.

Stamped the quote with Versafine Vintage Sepia. Masked the stripes and sponged the Dried Marigold along the mask edge. Adhered to card floor.

Added details to the buttons - white dots and white lines with Ranger's White Enamel accents; pink stripes with a Bic Marker, adhered them to card with Glossy Accents. Attached the gold metal leaf brads and the gold mini bow.
