ID: MC April/12 - Cone Flowers - Happy Birthday card
size: 5"w x 6"h

Created: April 6, 2012

I made a birthday card for Fourish's challenge, but I hadn't used one of their images - it's not a reuirement... but I really do like using them when I enter their challenges, sooooo here's another one using the cone flowers from the "With Gratitude" set.

I'm using one of the 10 tiny sentiments set stamps from Quietfire Design

I embossed the white cardstock using one of the folders from the Cuttlebug "Heritage" set. Masked the oval contour and stamped the floral image with Versafine Black Onyx. Removed the mask and painted the flowers with Daniel Smith watercolors. Trimmed the piece down. Tied a double peg bow from dark blue gauze ribbon and threaded my horizontal ribbon through the back loop, then adhered it to the embossed design.

Stamped the sentiment with the black and trimmed it down, adhered to the blue ribbon and added little black dots with Enamel Accents.

Layered the embossed piece to a dark blue cardstock (the back of Dreamweaver packaging), then layered it onto a pink toned cardstock (leftover from yesterday's card, hence the 6" height instead of my usual 7" height...)

Stamped the butterfly (Fourishes "Butterfly Moments" #34) with the black, colored with colored pencils, cut out and put a layer of Distress Stickles "Rock Candy". Adhered to card with 3D foam tape.

This is a clean and simple card.
