We all started off with 10 pages of a beige toned muslin and 10 pages of our unprimed canvas. From there we were let loose to experiment with the different tools and paints/inks etc. The cover was a larger piece of canvas that i sprayed with diluted color wash in denim, raisin and butterscotch, then added a glitter selectively. The white streak was a natural fold in the canvas when I was applying the color. I wrote the word "Magic" with silver leafing pen. Edged the cover with a burgundy thread and attached the pages with some thread that ran through the buttons (back and front). |
Some letters done on muslin. |
Watered down paints for background on muslin. Green pearlescent and a flat edge brush with blue horizontal lines for accents. |
Brush lettering with gouache on canvas and a rubber stamped moon |
Parallel pen double loaded and a wizard rubber stamped. |
Gessoed canvas. Parallel Pen and various colored gouache. (I prefer painting on unprimed canvas) |
