April 09 Galleria has a theme of Repeat - peat - peat. In other words we had to do something that repeated itself, be it color, lines, words, whatever. This also works for the AngelClogsBlogspot Challenge for Apr 25th
I made a plastic stencil for the words "my Friend" and cut it out using a Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes at the tips of the letters. I used a heavy weight black cardstock and dry embossed the words as a background design.
I then made an ATC sized inset of the words "my Friend" doing the technique from Carrie Imai's class, where you made a monoline design, cut it out and rearranged/skewed it onto another piece of cardstock. I used an off yellowish white Bazzill monochromatic cardstock for the light area and a plain black cardstock for the other portion. Wrote in my quote with a very fine tipped black Micron pen.Attached it to the background with yellow brads. Mounted this to a bright yellow Bling cardstock.
