January 19/10  Waiting for Spring  "To Wish  You Happy Birthday"

"Spring To Wish You Happy Birthday" card

I often look out my windows, wishing it were spring, so I thought for this theme to put some windows on my card.

I used the Sizzix Shapers & Movers windows. Then I stamped the words with a - BIG - Stamping Up background stamp "Tres Chic" #109258I using Perfect Medium and clear embossing it. Colored most of it with Pan Pastels in browns and olive, then touched the window frame areas with Distress Walnut Stain. I adhered a piece of decorated rice paper (on the back) I did a couple of days ago using my new Cuttlebug Asian folders (Plum Blossom). You can see all of the other samples HERE. Wrote in my word on the tag and attached it with the floral brads, then mounted this to a deep pink textured cardstock, then onto the sage toned textured cardstock. Worte in the words "to wish you" with a black micron pen and then rubber stamped the words "Happy Birthday:" (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold.
