Cover for Suzanne C: |
I used arches text wove which I spritzed with Color Wash
(butterscotch, terra cotta) and Tsukineko (Walnut Ink) and water. I then sprinkled sea
salt and spattered lots of rubbing alcohol. I let that dry. I then used
several word and oriental rubber stamps about FRIENDS and embossed them
with several different colored gold embossing powders, I then put it
through my zyron and cut it into 1" strips then into 1"
squares. My squares are now going to be glued to a piece of beige
Stonehenge paper. Using a ruler which I taped down so it wouldn't move
and my substrate taped to my table I am able to slid my right
angle triangle along the ruler. I now butt my 1" square along the 2
straight edges. For subsequent squares / alignments I use a 3rd straight ruler
which butts up to my right angle triangle. This way I can move
horizontally and vertically and always have the same reference point
for alignment. All these rulers are clear.
I did my name in Glass Gallery products, using the leading for the outline and then filling in with a clear sparkle so you can still see what's under it. I used a piece of vellum for my topics list and adhered it with vellum tape. |
