Zutter Waste Backgrounds (August 2007)
I recently purchased a Zutter binding machine and have been punching holes into mat board covers. I was emptying the machine of it's waste and all these little chips fell on my desk - I looked at them - and all of a sudden I saw a background. The ATC below is the result. I will see what other things I can create when I get more waste... |
ID: Outrageous (unavailable) |
I spread Diamond glaze over a trimmed down piece of
magenta cardstock. Dropped the waste onto it, sprinkled some rose colored
glitter, added some mini glass marbles and let dry. Spritzed some pink and
gold webbing across the dried card. Mounted it to a piece of orange
cardstock (I was in a colorful mood like usual). Punched a hole and strung
a hand made tag using orange embroidery cotton, a couple of thick knots
and a metal bead between. The tag is painted with Derwent orange and
yellow Inktense watercolors and swooshed around with water. Let dry and
added the title "Outrageous" with a purple Zig marker and edged
it with a Krylon Gold Leaf Pen. (the
title is on both sides of the tag)
