Continuing on after Julie's ZOOM class we decided to exchange ATC's every other month for the next year. Our first trade should be mailed by Nov 15th... We're a total of 11 participants.

Since I really like triptychs because it gives me lots more room to play, that's what I decided to make for the first trading.

I also took a 2 day in person class "Pencil To Paper" with Ann Purdy one of our BVCG guild members. She does such fabulous pencil work.

And there was a ZOOM class with Cheryl Tefft teaching Illumination.

I thought I'd combine the 2 styles...

ID: Triptych ATC - Pencil Work & Illumination - Joy

On Stonehenge paper drew my letters using Blackwing pencils. Painted the background with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors set "Red Gold" (it looks more coppery rather than golden). When dry, tooled the design with a small balled stylus. Drew in my border and dots with a Micron .02 pen. Added the holly and Mistletoe leaves coloring with Prisma colored pencils.

Cut apart and adhered to a green textured cardstock.

On Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper drew out these distorted letters (by Carmen Nacher). Shaded with the Blackwing pencils. Added the floral and leaf design and colored with Prisma colored pencils. 

Cut apart and adhered to a red textured cardstock.
