Tim Holtz - Alcohol Ink Technique - Thanks

Created: April 14, 2020
Modified:

All card are 4.25 x 5.5" landscape or portrait mode done on #110 Staples white cardstock.

I didn't have 91% rubbing alcohol only 70%... and my lifting just didn't work very well, but the lifting off re-stamping was great. Also don't have a blower so used a straw... Plus I didn't feel like using my Yupo... so used glossy cardstock

Dropped some alcohol inks on my cardstock (raspberry & aquamarine), added some alcohol and blew.. Had some open spaces so dropped in some "Sunshine Yellow". Smeared a bit of "Gold" metallic.

Trimmed down and wrote out the word "thanks" using a 6.0 Parallel pen and Sumi ink in a kind of Foundational hand. Added gold gel pen shadow.

Stamping with the Lift-Off ink pad on the previous inked background, then stamped onto another piece of glossy cardstock using Tim Holtz "Attic Treasure" and "Fairytale Frenzy" stamp sets.

Stenciled using Distress Oxides "Twisted Citron", "Tumbled Glass" and "Shabby Shutters" and Tim's "Crocodile" stencil..

Trimmed down and wrote out the word "Merci Beaucoup" using a 6.0 Parallel pen and Sumi ink in a kind of Italic hand. Added a black Micron shadow line.
