Tim Holtz - Creative Chemistry 102 class - Day 1 - Distress Paint, Eroded, Industrial & Resist

Created: October 12, 2013
Modified:

I decided to take Tim's On Line class again - Chemistry 102. These are more samples from Day 1.

Eroded Metal:
I'm using a Manila Tag. Distress Paints Barn Door, Seedless Preserve, Victorian Velvet, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Walnut Stain. Blended with a sponge. Dried

Quickly paint a full layer of Burnished Brass, spritz & flick water Dry tag with heat tool, press paper towel down and absorb/lift paint areas. Immediately peel the paper off or it will dry to the paint...

Stamp Resist: Swipe Distress paint over stamp without putting an excess of paint, stamp and clean your stamp. When paint dries, sponge colors.

Antique Linen paint on stamp, dried. Sponged Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves, Forest Moss. Wiped with damp paper towel

Industrial: apply metal tape to tag. I applied it in pieces to give more of an industrial feel. Embossed with Clockworks. Painted with Distress Paints Black Soot and a sponging tool, and as it was drying, wiped away excess paint with paper towel.
