Created: June 2, 2016
Modified:

I doing it again... Tim's 2 week class - Chemistry 101. These samples are from Day 2.

Love this technique and use it quite often.

I'm using a 90# watercolor tag cut with Tim's Sizzix die.

Sponged on the colors "Mustard Seed" down the center, "Broken China" on the right then with "Picked Raspberry"; Shabby Shutters" on the left with "Mowed Lawn" and "Forest Moss" then some "Faded Jeans" and a touch of "Seedless Preserves". Flicked and spattered my water and dried. Misted a crackle stamp (Quietfire Design) with water and stamped the bottom left corner and the upper right corner.

After creating the watercolor background, inked the edges with Versafine "Vintage Sepia" and embossed with "Queen's Gold" embossing powder.

I had eCut the stamped images of the hummingbird and hibiscus (Designs By Ryn "Hummingbirds 2" set and "Hibiscus" set). I left the flowers the white of the cardstock, inking the stamp with the sepia and embossing with the gold. The bird was inked with Versafine Black Onyx, clear embossed and painted with watercolors and iridescent medium.

Stamped the quote (newest from Quietfire Design) using the black and clear embossed.

Die cut the "Spring" (Elizabeth Craft Designs also available on Quietfire Design HERE), inked with "Twisted Citron" and then some "Mowed Lawn", clear embossed.

Final touch tied some Sari ribbon.

The 2nd technique is watercolor stamping. Love doing this especially with many of my Penny Black stamps.

I'm using the "Unfolding" stamp inking with mini Distress pads, misting with water and stamping on to white cardstock tag. Love the way it turned out. The flower colored with a it of "Mustard Seed" in the center, then all over the rest of the flower with "Shaded Lilac", tips with "Picked Raspberry" then "Seedless Preserves". The leaves/branches with "Mowed Lawn" then with some "Ground Espresso".

Inked the quote stamp (newest from Quietfire Design) using the lilac and the raspberry, stamping and clear embossing.

Stenciled around the edges/corners using Tim's "Crocodile" stencil, using the "Mermaid Lagoon" then some of the espresso.

Die cut the word "Laugh" from white cardstock twice. Applied distress pads on my craft sheet (Seedless Preserves, Broken China, and Picked Raspberry), misted with water, and smooshed my word through the wetness. Dried. Using my finger, smudged some PVA glue on the letters and sprinkled with Stickles dry glitter "Diamond". The under layer was colored with "Forest Moss" and some "Espresso". Both adhered to tag, slightly off set.

Final touch, added the purple Sari ribbon.
