I Love these backgrounds and if you keep looking there are two more cards with this same technique but using different color schemes.

I used a a white 65# cardstock and swiped colors randomly and abstractly over the surface using the Pan pastel sponges (Hansa Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Orange, Turquoise, Phthalo Green). I then used an eraser to make my zig zag line, tilting the cardstock up side down and using a very soft brush to flick the eraser bits away. I then used the tip edge of the square tool #2 that had some dirty green and brown on it to give a kind of shadowy look to the zig zag. I rubber stamped the words with Adirondack Rainbow Dye stamp pad. Then used Krylon Workable Fixative to set my pastels. Cut my cardstock down to size and adhered it to a purple cardstock then to the main bright yellow cardstock.

Note I sprayed with Krylon workable fixative.
