ID: Marbling Samples

I made a lot of sheets of marbled paper and fabric. These are just a few of the ones I like best.

Marble1i

MarbleDetail1 Marble #1: Brown, black, pink, cream, light grey & iridescent bronze on a light brown Canson paper.

MarbleDetail2 Marble #2: I love making these flower shapes. Green, pink, med blue, yellow & cream on Sumi rice paper. This is a very fragile paper and the first one tore in many sections. So I used my melt art mat to support my paper and it worked wonderfully. I also used a piece of waxed paper for a support and it worked well too.

MarbleDetail3 Marble #3: We were taught to wave the paper when inserting in the marble bath. Not as easy as one might think. But I love the way you get these darker interrupted lines.
