left booklet 4.25"w x 2.75"h & right booklet 3.75"w x 2.75"h

ID: Origami Folded Paper Holder
size: 8.75"w x 11.6"h

At our Guild meeting today, one of the members (Christine Ahmad) taught us this origami style paper holder. Love it. This size is great for holding handouts from classes. One made from 8.5" x 11" paper makes a great gift card holder... There are all whole bunch of various pockets to slip things in.

No glue or adhesive of any kind and no cutting...

Since our next Guild Journal deals with flora & fauna, I made mine with that in mind. The flowers on the top of the front page and on the inside right side are floral designs I picked up from Helen at https://alittlelime.blogspot.ca/

The paper was an inexpensive type on a roll and for this booklet that holds 8.5 x 11" handouts the paper size started out as 27.5" x 34".

I folded it into my booklet and then colored and added the details.

The yellow edge was Distress Oxide pad "Fossilized Amber" direct to paper. Then a wide Rollagraph stamp "Stampin Around - Spot On" and "Cracked Pistachio" for the detail.

The blue corners were "Broken China" and then blended with a mini sponge.

The pink heart/flourish edge on the front was another Rollagraph stamp - narrow - "Love Swirls"

The doodled flowers was either done with a black Zig marker or the white gel pen with a touch of Ecoline pink in the lower flowers on the front.

As mentioned most of the flowers are adaptations from Helen's designs. "Spiral Rose" on the front; "Compass Daisies" on the left corner and "String Rose" on the right corner, all shaded with a 2B pencil and paper stump.

All the lettering for the quotes was done with a Pentel Color Brush "Turquoise" ink in a Pointed Brush lettering style, then either a pink or yellow color brush was flicked over the letters.

Lettering for "Yogi" was done with a 6.0 Parallel Pen and Sumi ink in an Uncial style lettering. White gel pen doodles were added.
