ID: Mini Booklet #2

2.75"w x 4.25"h x 3/8" thk.

Another booklet inspired by Sonja Idema. It's a very simple wrap around binding which is hidden under the decorative cover.

This booklet is made with 4 signatures of 4 pages each from Grumbacher's "Paper for Pens - Pentalic". The reddish salmon is an inner cover made from Bazzill Monochromatic cardstock and it peaks out about 1/4" (top, bottom and in the cut out window). The binding of the signature wraps around a bar made from slits in the cardstock. I used a 2 ply waxed linen thread (Olive Drab) for binding. The decorative cover made from my Paste Papers is held to the booklet by another bar made from slits. I added a piece of painted linen hinging tape on the spine to add strength. The green strip under the red border is the  back of the decorative paper peaking out which I colored with a green metallic Lyra Super Ferby colored Pencil. Part of the paste paper design had a butterfly and dragonfly stamped into the paste, but with the cut out part of the design was cut out as well. So I rubber stamped them on cardstock and used Red Dragon embossing powder. Cut them out and glued them to cover.
