Just got this gorgeous new stamp (Peddler's Pack Stampworks - Holly Leaves & Berries background). Needless to say the gilding doesn't show up very well. It's gorgeous in real life.

I rubber stamped the holly berry with Color Box black pigment stamp pad and embossed with Hematite (like black) embossing powder onto 140# Arches HP watercolor paper. Colored in the leaves and berries with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and blended with a water brush. Then used Jerry Tresser's size and composition gold leaf for the negative portions and the border area. Embossed designs in some of the border with a very small stylus. Used Diamond Glaze on the berries to give them a glossy look and feel. Added one of my calligraphic Peel Offs for the sentiment.

NOTE: The  Peel Off above was released in February/08. It is one of my calligraphic word sentiments on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are about 11 styles available at the moment with another couple coming out in early 2009. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy/It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love", "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary"
