WC for Cards - Day 5 - Fuchsias
- HB card
Created: May 10, 2014 This is the 5th day of the online watercolor for cards class. Today's tutorials are definitely a little more involved... but if you have the time... they give great impact. I'm using one of the NEWEST birthday stamps from Quietfire Design. Basic Watercoloring technique with Jennifer Rzasa

I stamped the fuchsias (Stampendous) on Arches HP 90# watercolor paper using Versafine "Smokey Grey". I painted them with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and a wet brush. Added yellow Stickles to the stamen. Die cut with Spellbinders "Radiant Rectangles" I used the die, scanned it and cut with my electronic cutter to get my shadow layer cut from white cardstock. Adhered a piece of dark blue Ruche cardstock to my card front leaving a white border all around, then adhered my design element. Stamped the "Happy Birthday" using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Hand cut and hit the edges with a dirty blue sponge. adhered to card front with 3D foam tape. Added the blue rhinestones. |
