This is the 11th day of the online watercolor for cards class.  The card at left was the first one I did and then I had an urge to do the weaving one... One is serious and the other just fun.

I'm using a quote stamp from  Quietfire Design.

Painted Stencil technique with Tim Holtz

Both cards use the same technique of applying Distress pads directly on to a stencil, liberally misting with water and then pressing it down onto the watercolor paper, and using a paper towel to press the stencil down - which also picks up the excess color that seeps out of the openings. Lift stencil and dry.

The card above uses Kaiser Craft "Wheat" the one at right uses Prima #569440, both done on Arches HP 90# watercolor paper and Distress pads.

The card above was layered to a dark green textured cardstock, then on to a side folded white card. Quote stamped with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

I macraméd the piece at the bottom with two shades of green twine, adhered to card with a glue gun and adhered 3 buttons.

Card at right was off set on to a dark green cardstock on a side folded cream toned card.

Colorful stitched ribbons adhered with a glue gun and then the buttons. Quote stamped with the black and clear embossed.
