And this is another one that I love the look of.  It's a variation of something I saw in "The New Concepts in Paper Quilling" by Marie Browning. The last one was the Hydrangea so since a lilac has florets, I figured I'd try one of those. And the "Y" from the Thank You just fit so perfectly.

So I used the same florets as in the Hydrangea - colored some gold parchment paper with Pan Pastels in Ultramarine Blue & Magenta, getting nice shades, and then punched out literally hundreds of them while watching TV. I then used some fun foam and a large stylus to give them the 3D look and feel. Placed them on my heavily textured off white mulberry type paper, until I was pleased with the layout. Used 4 ply waxed line thread in Olive Drab for the stems and adhered everything down. Added a metallic mix of glass seed beads in the centers of the flowers and punched out a couple leaves.

I ran a piece of deep purple through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and layered that to my main card. Then used some pearlized metallic purple quilling strips to frame my design piece.

Rubber stamped the Thank you (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Imperial Purple.
