I entered this card into the 2006 Heritage Fall Fair here in Calgary. It won a 1st place Ribbon for the category

I started out with a rich red cardstock, glued a gold metallic cardstock onto it, then glued a crinkled white paper which I had lightly sprayed with  Moon Glows in Burnished Brass and Gold Dubloons.  I cut out leaves from Art Emboss medium copper, dry embossed the veins with a fine stylus point, held the copper over a flame to get the variegations of color. Glued them onto my card with Golden's soft gel medium. Added the words with my thermal embossing technique with copper embossing powder. Attached some pearl embroidery cotton and strung some beads (brass leaf, faux crystal leaves and beads, amber bead & metallic beads)
