It's one of my very good friends 60th birthday and there will be a surprise party... It's a little early, since her birthday is in May and the party is in April, but she'll be on holidays. I really like the way this turned out and with a little help from my electronic cutter...

I calligraphed my numbers, scanned them, manipulated them and then cut the cut outs for the numbers with my electronic cutter. This way I didn't have to worry if I made a mistake, could always cut another one very easily.

I masked the negative spaces, and stamped the numbers with background stamps (Impression Obsession CAC "Script" & "Vines") using Archival black. Colored the numbers with Distress Milled Lavender with Broken China, sponging Walnut Stain around the edges for the "0"; and Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Dried Marigold for the "6" also edging with the Walnut.

Masked the numbers and sponged the backgrounds with Distress Mustard Seed & Dried Marigold for the yellows, and Milled Lavender with Broken China for the pinky tones. Wrote in my text on the front with a Micron black pen.

Words: a dyslexic moment! Aren't  you glad I didn't turn it upside down." I figured she could use being 06 years young for a few more moments...

Stamped the Impression Obsession CAC "Birds on Tree" on the inside on both flaps. Adhered a piece of white cardstock to the inside to cover the cut outs, then covered that with the green patterned Washi paper. Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with the black. Wrote in my words at the bottom to turn card over.

Wrote my message on the back with the micron pen and colored some of the open parts of letters with Prisma colored pencils.
