I just got the latest batch of new stamps from Quietfire Design, They're beautiful.

I came across something on the net using a couple tag punches that were overlapped to create a snowflake and it got me thinking, which is how this flower came about. It uses Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large & Small (#S4-110 & 112). For this flower you need 16 ovals with their centers cut out to create thin border ovals. I adhered 4 of the ovals to a small 1" circle evenly distributed. I then adhered the next row of 4 circles so they overlapped but fell between the first layer. I adhered a piece of scrapbook paper, then cut around the petals. Put that aside while I did the next set, but for this one I didn't adhere to scrapbook paper, or cut away the extra part of the petals. Adhered the first bunch on top of the 2nd bunch.

The center portion is a left over piece from another project - crepe paper sewn down the middle, folded in half, gathered and then formed into a circle. Adhered to my bottom layers and added a large amber rhinestone.

The main card is a cream toned yellow Bazzill Monochrome card, layered with a deep purple.

I stamped the quote with Versafine Imperial Purple, then die cut it with Spellbinders Lacey Squares (#S4-295) from some golden parchment paper. Adhered it to card then layered the flower on top.
