Xmas 09 - Poinsettia series
Created: November 21, 2009
On some I rubber stamped the small and large poinsettia on black cardstock and on one I did it on white cardstock and colored the background black. Sakura Metallic gel pens and Tombow watercolor markers were used to color the flowers as well as some iridescent medium. I used Stickles yellow and dotted with the red for the florets. The card on left, the bottom section was the one done on white and background colored in black, and mounted to a lavender pearlized cardstock then onto the black main card. A gauzy variegated ribbon added. |
This one is very similar to the one above but rubber stamped on the black cardstock mounted to amethyst metallic cardstock. The under piece was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder which was inked with Versafine Toffee and then thermal embossed with Queen's Gold on white cardstock. Mounted to a black main card.

I put Sookwang tape, in what would be the open areas, on a piece of white cardstock. Adhered my scraps, then sprinkled Ritz Glitter micro fine Black glitter. Burnished well. Mounted this to a red cardstock card and added the red ribbon. |
I rubber stamped both the large and smnall poinsettia onto white cardstock and clear embossed. Brayered Adirondack Rainbow dye ink onto card (Green set). Iron off the embossing onto a piece of newsprint. Rubber stamped the "Words" background stamp (Local King Rubber) using Versafine Toffee stamp pad. Heat set. Rubber stamped the large poinsettia and thermal embossed with Queen's Gold. Colored it in with Tombows and iridescent medium. Rubber stamped the word sentiment with Black Onyx Versafine and clear embossed. Adhered this to a red cardstock then onto the cream card. If you look closely at the detail pic, you can see the resist area, the script background and then the poinsettia.
