This is one of the cards I made in Marie Browning's class way back when. I wasn't happy with so it sat in the proverbial box...  Anyway I resurrected it, removed the elements I didn't like, added some new ones and Peel Off words, some punching and a ribbon and now it's a gorgeous card that I'm happy with.

Anyway it's a back fold - gate folded card done in black cardstock. under the front flaps is some highly textured off white, gold flecked mulberry type paper. I used my EK Success "Swiss Cheese" border punch which I love. Added a couple slits in the folds of the gate fold and inserted my green silk ribbon which is adhered to the back with Sookwang 3mm tape. Nice and sturdy.

Its a greyish paper that we rubber stamped with a harlequin pattern. The leaves were I think cut out from various papers and we decorated them. The leaf with the words was one of my new additions and I colored it with Pan pastels, put a green vein down the middle and wrote the words "Kindred Spirit". The Peel offs are some of my calligraphic sentiments sold under the name of Elizabeth Craft Designs.

These were white which I colored with Copic markers. I have to say Copic on these white Peel offs is fabulous.

NOTE: These are some of my calligraphic word sentiment Peel Offs on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 12 styles available at the moment. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love", "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary". There are a few more coming out some time in 2009 or early 2010.
