Wednesday Stamper has a challenge for July to use the colors in your flag. Well I live in Canada so my colors are red & white.

I just bought these new stamps from Inkadinkado, and they're another beautiful set "Mindscapes #99121". Every time you look at them you see something else in them. No wonder they're called mindscapes. Anyway I rubber stamped it with Versafine  "Satin Red" and clear embossed it on white cardstock. I then drew my strip and used Mona Lisa size and red variegated leaf. Rubber stamped the sentiment words Happy Birthday and the French version (both from Quietfire Design), I was raised in Quebec...

Mounted this to a shiny metallic red cardsock then onto a white line cardstock (you can't see the texture in the pic, sorry), then onto a gold embossed red paper which I have put onto a white 110# cardstock main card, edge to edge.

For the  "fleur de lis" (one of the new EK Success punches) corners, I used a piece of white cardstock, ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot embossing folder then used a red stamp pad to touch the high points. Punched out the Fleurs and adhered them to the corners.

On the hummingbird I added Iridescent medium to give it some shimmer like a real hummingbird.

Created the flowers using Prima "Essential 4" red florets, and adding some punched out ones using daisy type punches from the Swiss Dot paper both plain with the red from above, and from some red mulberry type paper, then added a red rhinestone.

you can see some of the glitz in this pic.

you can see some of the shadows from the Swiss dot paper.
