- You've Got A Friend
Created: September 5, 2010 I used a Spellbinders Maple Leaf die to die cut the maple leaf in the white cardstock. Sponged Distress (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Aged Mahogany, misted and dried. Die cut a few more leaves, dry embossed them and sponged various colors through the die, then added veins with a fine pen. |
Cut a circle with an EK Success Orbis circle scissor at #125 (approx 5" diameter) from white cardstock. Divided the circle into 4 sections with a light pencil mark to indicate where the season would fall. Then sponged the appropriate colors in that area (winter in light browns, spring in light greens, summer in vibrant greens & fall in yellows and oranges). Marked the center of the circle, punched a hole that would fit my eyelet. Placed the circle on my card face to determine where it needed to be placed so the cut out maple leaf would always have a backing. Marked the center point and punched a hole there as well. Used a large circle punch to punch a scallop into the edge of my card to turn the wheel more easily. Attached the eyelet to the circle and card face. Adhered my maple leaves, then started stamping the quote using Just Rite Times Roman font in the smallest and medium size. Placed the words "Winter", "Spring", "Summer", "or Fall" in the appropriate spaces in the leaf wheel, then added the words "All you have to do is call & I'll be there. You've got a" on the card itself.. The word "FRIEND" ("Friendship" Quote Marks set by Quietfire Design) was stamped with black, clear embossed on a separate piece of white cardstock, cut with an oval Spellbinders die, dry embossed, sponged and adhered to the card. Adhered all this to a cream toned main card, then added the gold Peel Off lines. |
