This is my submissions for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the December 2011 issue with the theme of "Gifts/Gift Cards/wrapping".

The Xmas quote on the inside is a Quietfire Design rubber stamp.

I brayered a background stamp (Impression Obsession Cover A Card "Holly) with Lumiere "Pearl White" stamped onto white cardstock and repeated the process to cover the rest of my cardstock (5.5" x 11"). Immediately washed my tools. Dried the background  thoroughly, then sponged Distress Broken China &  Milled Lavender. Trimmed it to size to leave a 1/8" border all around. Sponged Faded Jeans around edges. Adhered to card.

For the pocket,  taped down a Dreamweaver stencil "Merry Christmas" to the upper section of a piece of white cardstock (7"h x 4.75"w), sponged Pan Pastels Ultramarine Blue, then dusted off the excess pastel. Lifted the stencil and moved it over a tad and slightly down, re-taped, and applied more Pan Pastel, dusted off the excess, then applied a coat of Dreamweaver white embossing paste. Carefully removed the tape and stencil. (Immediately washed my tools). Set aside to dry.

Die cut a bunch of ovals from two tones of blue metallic papers, by nesting the 1st, 2nd & 3rd ovals of Petite Ovals Small set. This cut both sizes at the same time. (repeat to get 3 large & 3 small from both dark and light blue).

Cut, score and fold pocket. Punch the 1" dia circle. Cut a slightly wider than pocket, top flap, sponge with Distress Faded Jeans on back and front, score, fold and adhere to backside of pocket (see pic below). Close flap and punch hole for snowflake brad so that a couple of the points will hold the flap down. Place brad in hole, flatten prongs on the inside and adhere a small piece of cardstock to cover prongs. Adhere the flaps on either side of pocket.

Place the pocket on card without adhering it, just tack it down with sticky notes. Arrange the ovals in a pleasing manner partially under pocket and to look like a bow. When happy, remove the pocket and adhere the lower portions only with some glue. Then adhere the pocket. I also placed a few dots of glue in the middle cluster to prevent drooping.

Cut the coupon from a scrap piece of background cardstock to fit inside pocket. Use a circle punch to nick the corners. Stamp the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx, clear emboss.

I used Calligrapher font on my computer to print out my words on text weight paper, trimmed it down to fit and sponged Broken China around the edges.

I cut another piece of the background cardstock for the inside box, edged it with Faded jeans. Used the rest of the ovals for the bow, adhering as for the front.

Stamped the Holly stamp with Tumbled Glass, masking the center portion with a sticky note. Repeated the stamping to fill the background.

The stamping is light enough that it can be written over if more space is needed for writing.
