 4"w
 x 7.5"h Envelope card

Created: February 7, 2012

It's my submission for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the April 2012 issue with the theme of "Same stamp - two ways" - and it didn't make it's way into the magazine, but it is in the online gallery...

The sentiment words  are by Quietfire Design .

Scored and folded my Kraft cardstock to create an envelope structure, then cut away on the left piece to create the point of a flap. repeatedly stamped the sentiment words "Just Because" & "Just for You", off setting them on each line and using distress Pumice Stone.

Stamped the lace border (Chocolate Baroque "Damask Squares" set with Versafine "Toffee and embossing with gold embossing powder. Note: I drew the contour of my flap onto white cardstock, masked the point area, to stamp only one lace picot, then used the line as a guide for stamping along the slope. Trimmed it down to fit the inside the flap right to the fold line. Adhered to card front. Adhered the ribbon between this border layer and the next, wrapping the ribbon around the card and cutting a slit on the left fold edge to slip it through.

Die cut the under border using Tim's On the Edge die "Ornate", again drew a guiding line, and using the "Scallop" On the Edge die to continue my border matching up the last scallop from the first die cut with a scallop from the next die. Repeating the process for the other side. Sponged it completely with Distress "Worn Lipstick and added deep rose colored pencil faux stitching. Again trimmed to fit right to the fold line.

Stamped the flower (Hero Arts "Luscious Frames") on pink toned vellum using Perfect Medium and embossing with white embossing powder. Cut out. Using a large balled stylus and shaping the petals in the palm of your hand. Adhere two together with Glossy Accents, off setting the petals, then adhering to card. Adding a gold rimmed half pearl to each center.

Stamped the flower on the inside with the Perfect medium and white embossing powder. Stamped the Happy Birthday with the toffee and gold embossed.

Punched  the inner white border with Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page "Eyelet Lace" following my drawn contour.

Punched the pink border using a pearlized textured cardstock and repeating the punching on the other side to create the ribbon.
