ID: MC Sept/19 - Side Fold Poinsettia - ECD Dec 25 - What Is Christmas" card
size: 6"w x 5"H

Created: September 20, 2019
Modified:

I came across a gorgeously colored green poinsettia and had to imitate it done by Laura Jane using The Ton "Poinsettia Close Up" background stamp. You can see her post HERE. I don't have this particular stamp from 2017, so I hand drew my interpretation of the image.

I'm using a die "Dec 25" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a rubber Xmas quote and design element stamp from Quietfire Design ("What Is Christmas..." 2pce set);  ("Poinsettia Banner and Sentiments" 4pce set)

Scored and folded my white cardstock to create my side fold structure

Drew the poinsettia and outlined with a black Zig writer. Colored with Prisma colored pencils. What I really liked about the card by Laura was the linear coloring method. I don't think I've ever done that before. Trimmed down and added a Krylon Copper edge.

Adhered to a dark green texture cardstock and then onto my card front.

Stamped the "What Is Christmas" using Versafine Clair "Summertime" and embossing with Emerald Creek "Kettle Copper" embossing powder.

Die cut the "Dec 25" from white cardstock, inked with the Summertime and embossed with the Copper. Adhered to a shadow layer (technique for creating a shadow layer HERE

On the inside:

Stamped the banner and quote with the Summertime, embossed with the copper. Colored with Prisma colored pencils.
