ID: Mar19 - Easel Turtle - ECD Dream - Every Day Is
A Journey" card
Created: March 12, 2019 I just got some glorious stamps by Pink Ink Designs... This turtle set is one of them. ABSOLUTELY love him. I'm using a die "DREAM" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE I'm also using a rubber quote stamp from Quietfire Design ("Every Day Is A Journey..." 4pce set) |
Scored and folded my white cardstock to create the easel structure. Cut a piece same size as card and adhered to card front. Created the Distress Oxide background using a brayer. (Salty Ocean; Squeezed Lemonade). Misted between colors. Sponged some "Wilted Violet" around the edges. I watched a very good uTube video HERE from Lavinia (creating a similar background. It's worth a watch... A little long since it's done in real time, but you can always fast forward... Created silhouette images of all the stamps, cut with my electronic cutter and then stamped (Pink Ink Designs "Sea Turtle"; Designs By Ryn "Sea Creatures 1") with various Distress inks or Versafine Black Onyx. Sponged colors or used a colored pencil where needed. Adhered all the elements to card front. Die cut the "Dream" from white cardstock, inked with Distress "Picket Fence" and embossed with Emerald Creek "Soft Fallen Snow". Adhered to card front. |

On the floor: Created more of the background. Stamped the quote onto white cardstock using the black and clear embossed. Die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Ovals" die set and then a larger oval sponged with some of the Distress Oxide Salty Ocean. Adhered both layers together than onto floor with 3D foam tape to act as my stopper. Adhered another small turtle to the floor. |
