Created this card for the Elizabeth Craft Design group blog post of Christmas in July - So I guess I have another Xmas card under my belt...

I'm using a whole bunch of dies "Flourished Frame" 2pce set; "Christmas Ornament" 4pce set; "Calligraphic Elements 3"; "Merry Christmas Small"; "Flourished Christmas Minis" 3pce set; "Flourished Night Sky" 4pce set; "Beaded Circle Frame" 5pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design "Flourished Frame"; "Christmas Ornament"; "Calligraphic Elements 3"; "Merry Christmas Small"; "Flourished Christmas Minis"; "Flourished Night Sky";

I'm using a clear stamp set from Quietfire Design. ("Christmas Collection" 11 pce set) also available on Elizabeth Craft Designs HERE

I love using negative die cuts and I've used a few on this card... The DoCraft gold mirror/metallic frame is the negative of the Flourished Frame trimmed down.

Die cut the "Merry Christmas" from another tissue box ("Chinese New Year" that came out a few years ago...)

I've hung the flourished ornament onto the flourish of the word - cut from red cardstock. The mini reindeer is cut from black cardstock and faux hung from the ornament - I just drew a black line using a micron pen.

This makes a quick and easy card and you could stop right here with maybe a quote on the inside... but since it's me... I continued...

On the inside: Scored and folded a piece of red textured cardstock in half and die cut the circle through both layers. Trimmed down and folded tab ends on either end and then adhered to inside of card. In hindsight I'll cut the whole box at one time rather than adding the back pieces... I just didn't know I wanted those back pieces at the start.

Cut the various elements from the gold mirror cardstock and adhered the flourishes to the box, and just hanging the ornaments. I decided to add an inner box frame to hang my star.

Die cut the Ho Ho Ho from red cardstock and adhered to inside.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Clair "Tulip Red" and clear embossed.

I thought the card needed something else so added the negative/positives of the beaded circle cut from white cardstock. Hit the negative piece with a Distress Oxide "Barn Door" pad direct to paper. Inked the positive beaded circle with the pad heavily and then embossed with Emerald Creek "Chinese New Year" embossing powder.
