ID: Split Center Easel Yellow Roses - ECD Happy Birthday - A Bit Of Fragrance card
size: 7"w x 5"H

Created: June 26, 2018
Modified:

I came across this structure and thought I'd give it a try. I like the little variety I get between this one and my normal easel card.

I'm using an a A Way With Words die  "Happy Birthday" 2pce set,  from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design  HERE

And I'm using a clear stamp set from Quietfire Design ("A Bit Of Fragrance Collection" 8pce set) also available on Elizabeth Craft Designs HERE

Scored and folded my yellow cardstock to create my card.

Cut a piece of cardstock to 7"w x 10"h. Score half way down the 10" side at 5". Cut approx 1"w strip on either side to the half way scored point. NOTE: the 1"w strip can be up to 2"w or even an uneven width on both panels. The width of the center easel part will determine how wide the side panels should be. After cutting to create the side panels, score the center panel (mine is 5"h) at the 1/2 way point which on my card is 2.5"

Now decorate BIG GRIN

Dry Embossed white cardstock using Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Rosa" embossing folder. Hit the high points and between all the high points, direct to paper with Distress pad  "Milled Lavender", then went over the high points only with "Seedless Preserves". Cut the decorated paper to cover all over leaving yellow borders sticking out.

Electronically cut the various roses and stamped with Versafine Black Onyx (HOTP "Watercolor Roses"). Colored with watercolor pencils and a waterbrush. Adhered a piece of mat board under the roses to raise them

Die cut the Butterfly on the right from a left over piece of the o background, then inked close to the body and embossed with yellow embossing powder. Punched the other butterfly (Martha Stewart) and colored the same way. Adhered both and added some mini amber gems to the bodies.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Toffee and embossed with the yellow embossing powder on purple cardstock. Die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" die set.

On the floor:  Die cut the "Happy Birthday from yellow cardstock, inked with Versamark and embossed with the yellow embossing powder. Adhered the script word to the purple cardstock, cutting a picot edge and adhering a piece of mat board underneath and then onto the card floor to act as my stopper.

Adhered a couple more of the roses and the "Birthday word"
