ID: MC July/18 - Easel Fish - ECD Fun - In Summer The Song - HB card
size: 7"w x 5"H (Easel closed)

Created: July 8, 2018
Modified:

There are several challenges call for under the sea or related topics... Haven't done one of those in quite a while.

I'm using an A Way With Words dies  "Fun Play" 2pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design

("In Summer the Song...")

Scored and folded my dark blue cardstock to create my easel structure. Cut another piece in white the same size as card to create my artwork.

Stamped the large sea fan using Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Using Distress mini pads direct to paper with "Spun Sugar", "Cracked Pistachio" and "Tumbled Glass". Used a dark blue bullet tipped marker to edge all around. Adhered to card front.

Created silhouette files of the seaweed,  small sea fan and the large fish on the floor, then cut from white cardstock. Stamped with the gold for the fan and embossed with the gold, or with Versafine Black Onyx for the seaweed and clear embossed. Inked the sea fan with the background colors and the seaweed with the pistachio or "Twisted Citron".

Stamped the quote using the black on white cardstock and clear embossed. Trimmed down.

Die cut the sections of the frame from a blue cardstock using Tim's newest 3D cut emboss folder "Mini Provincial". Hit the high points with a silver metallic wax. Mitered the corners and adhered to stamped quote.

Adhered the seaweed and quote piece. Die cut the word "Fun" from a deep blue and inked/embossed the top layer with the gold.

On the floor: Dry embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Cuttlebug "Happy Birthday" embossing folder. Used the same colors as the front over the high points. Edged with the blue marker and adhered to floor.

Colored the fish with the same colors and adhered to floor.

Adhered the small sea fan to act as my stopper. Then decided to add a row of large white pearls.
